On World Humanitarian Day, we're proud to feature Michael Dunbar and his dedication to humanitarian service around the world. For Michael, being a humanitarian means doing what he can to serve others and care for the world around him. While humanitarian work is often associated with international aid, he believes it also means helping those in our own communities, from neighbours close to home to individuals living in remote regions across the globe. Over the past 15 years, Michael has participated in numerous medical missions and humanitarian initiatives in Peru, Thailand, Mongolia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nepal, Zambia, and Honduras. Through these experiences, he has provided medical care, health education, and support to underserved communities, while working alongside local teams to improve health and wellness outcomes. While the work can be challenging, Michael says the most rewarding part is seeing the gratitude and hope in the people he could help. Whether providing medical treatment, educating families on illness prevention, or simply offering compassionate care, he has witnessed firsthand the profound impact that even small acts of service can have on someone's life. This World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate Michael and honour humanitarians across the globe who strive to make a positive difference through compassion, service, and human con#WorldHumanitarianDayi#247oemsy#HumanitarianDayi#Paramedic##EMSm#CommunityCarem#MakingADifferenceD#servingothersv#healthcareheroescareHeroes ...
