COURSE DESCRIPTION
Decades of research have demonstrated that simple tactics and techniques can save lives during active shooter and terrorist events. Traditional First Aid programs provide fundamental skills however they are often taught for a low threat environment. The ability to deliver care in a high threat environment is imperative not only for the well-being of the casualty but also enables first responder to provide self-aid.

The Tactical First Responder – LifeSaver program is unique in Canada, encompassing the objectives of a Red Cross Standard First Aid course through a blended on-line and classroom experience with the integration of core tactical medicine skills. The program also includes Opioid overdose recognition / management training and the administration of naloxone. First Responders finish the course with the knowledge, skills and, most importantly, the confidence to deliver emergency medical care within all settings and threat levels.
The 24/7 OEMS team brings with them real time medical, tactical, and instructional experience from both
civilian and special operations environments. Red Cross Standard First Aid is completed through an on-line and in class component. With low student to instructor ratios and advanced simulation, our expert instructional cadre increase scenario complexity and stress based on individual student assessments over the two days, ensuring proficiency prior to providing certification.
